Visualizações9Ver másThe study aims to show the origin of the term school nurse and the trajectory of this specialty in the Brazilian nursing. Our objective is to argue about the new spaces of performance of the nurse. We use as methodology a qualitative approach, in view of the practice of the nurse in anElementary School and the identification and analysis of theoretical elements gotten in the bibliographical surveys related to the issue of health promotion. In the results we demonstrate that the presence of the nurses in the school is determinative in attention to the processes of health promotion, when they stimulate technician debates, present their perspective in relation to the processes of health and illness, besides strengthening the social relationships between professionals of education and health.

Visualizações12Ver másThis paper describes an experience that occurred in the municipality of Uruoca-CE, Brazil, where nurses from the Family Health Strategy involved a group of teenagers in practices of health promotion. Pregnant women were chosen as priority because of their resistance to perform dental consultation and small family participation in prenatal care. It was built up a play for the pregnant women and their families, focusing on the theme, in which the adolescents were the writers, set designers and actors. There was a significant involvement of the teenager group in planning and implementing of the activities, as well as greater understanding of the relationship between community participation and health promotion. As a result, it was observed an increase in the family participation in the prenatal cares and in the dental calls.

Visualizações10Ver másThis article is an integrative review that aimed to evaluate the available evidence in the literature on the development of strategies operationalized by community health agents for health promotion. Three databases were used - BDTD, LILACS and SciELO - and 2,179 publications were found, of which 58 were selected for analysis. The results were summarized in three empirical categories: Health promotion: challenges in reorienting the health care model, Educational practice in the daily work of community health agents and Vocational training in the perspective of Primary Health Care. The conclusion is that the construction of a model of care based on health promotion requires the incorporation of new educational, care-related and institutional practices.

Visualizações9Ver másThis work reports the experience of implementation of the School Health Program (PSE) by a team from the Family Health Strategy (FHS) in a public school in Fortaleza-CE , Brazil. The activities included conference about the deployment of the PSE with teachers and members of the FHS, workshops with students, clinical and dental assessment for adolescents and delivery of Booklets of Adolescent Health. The implementation of the PSE allowed health professionals to perceive their social role as educators and provided adolescents a greater contact with the staff from FHS. The rapprochement between the school and the FHS is crucial to help teenagers to transform scientific knowledge into healthy behaviors.

Visualizações23Ver másThis is an integrative review that examines the national scientific production on health promotion and nurse's practice in the field of primary health care. With the development of the study, it was found that the discussion of this theme is little explored in nursing and that health promotion is still understood as synonymous of health education and / or prevention of disease. It is concluded that health education is an essential strategy to achieve the health promotion, understanding that one is not restricted to the other. Moreover, it is necessary that nurses recognize health promotion as a field of practice can transform social reality and their own practice.

Visualizações8Ver másThe objective of the study was to verify the association of food intake and the dependence to be fed in hospitalized elderly individuals who were interviewed in the first 24 hours after admission to a general hospital. Participated in the research 75 individuals average 70.9 years old, being 58.7% male and 17.3% showing dependence to be fed. There was no evident association between dependence to be fed and the intake of energetic and muscle building food, but there was an association with regulator food such as garlic and onion (p=0.00) and water (p=0.04). The need of nutritional orientation to the caretakers is suggested, taking into consideration that the feeding dependence is associated to a low intake of water among elderly individuals.

Visualizações8Ver másThe objective of the study was to know how the Pankararu indigenous perceive their health situation and identify actions they prioritize as necessary to promote health in their community. Qualitative research, in which the declarations collected were subjected to the technique of analyzing the Collective Subject Discourse. It was identified that in the indigenous perception, as the health status of their community, there is a lack of general assistance, and a lack of professionals to assist them meeting their needs. In relation to actions that the Indigenous prioritize as necessary to promote the health of their community, it was highlighted provision of health unit with trained professionals and access to health education actions. It was, thus, proposed an overhaul of the organizations and establishments of the subsystems in promoting indigenous health.

Visualizações4Pesquisa cualitativa, orientada por el método "grounded theory", con el objetivo de comprender el significado de vivir saludable en una comunidad socialmente vulnerable para usuarios, profesionales y gestores de la salud. Se utilizó como técnica de coleta de datos la entrevista individual, con 25 participantes, entre ellos usuarios, profesionales y gestores de la salud. El análisis de datos fue procesado de forma comparativa, conforme prevé el método "grounded theory". Para los usuarios el vivir saludable está asociado a las condiciones básicas de sobrevivencia, a las oportunidades de inclusión y participación social y a las posibilidades interactivas y asociativas, para los profesionales de la salud, lo mismo está relacionado a las articulaciones políticas y sociales y, para los gestores, al desarrollo de estrategias capaces de reorientar el modelo de salud vigente. Se concluye, que el vivir saludable es un proceso singular, plural y complejo, construido con base en el imaginario y vivido de cada ser humano.
