Objective:
to identify maternal and neonatal factors associated with exclusive breastfeeding at hospital discharge from a tertiary care hospital.
Methods:
a cross-sectional study using secondary data from 22,136 records of newborns hospitalized in a neonatal unit (2009-2022). Maternal and neonatal variables and feeding practices at discharge were analyzed. Bayesian logistic regression models were applied.
Results:
exclusive breastfeeding at hospital discharge was 91.55%. Negatively associated factors were cesarean delivery (OR: 0.90), illicit substance use (OR: 0.30), low birth weight (OR: 0.84), and cleft lip and palate (OR: 0.15). Breastfeeding counseling and labor and delivery support promoted exclusive breastfeeding at hospital discharge.
Conclusion:
despite the high prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding at hospital discharge, barriers persist that must be addressed through promotion strategies, staff training, and support for mothers at risk.

Objectives:
to develop and assess an educational video to promote self-efficacy among newborn caregivers.
Methods:
a video development study conducted in five stages: content delimitation (narrative review and situational diagnosis); script content construction and validity (experts); video development; produced video validity (experts); and face validity (target audience). The Content Validity Index was used to analyze the data.
Results:
the video “Cuidando do seu bebê” is 24 minutes long and covers the main home care practices for newborns. The assessment was carried out from the perspective of appearance and content, presenting a Content Validity Index higher than 0.80 in all validity stages. The target audience unanimously considered the video relevant and clear.
Conclusions:
the video is valid for use by healthcare professionals as a tool to promote the self-efficacy of newborn caregivers.

Objectives:
to develop a printed almanac for women with breast cancer.
Methods:
convergent care research with a qualitative approach, carried out in a specialized oncology service in Vitória, Espírito Santo, from August 2023 to August 2024. The almanac was built based on the doubts of women undergoing chemotherapy treatment. After its creation, participants used and assessed the technology. An agreement rate of 80% was considered adequate.
Results:
the almanac has 47 pages, with comic strips and games such as word searches, seven differences, mazes and others. Participants assessed the educational technology as relevant, enlightening and capable of encouraging new habits, in addition to adding knowledge. All items had an agreement rate above 80%.
Conclusions:
the almanac consists of an innovative educational technology that addresses risk factors, treatments, self-care and social rights of people with cancer in a playful way and with easy-to-understand language.

Objectives:
to develop a middle-range theory for the risk for shock in people with acute myocardial infarction.
Methods:
theoretical-causal validity of the nursing diagnosis "Risk for shock" in people with acute myocardial infarction, based on a middle-range theory. The study followed six stages: definition of the approach for theory construction; definition of conceptual models; definition of main concepts; development of pictorial diagram; construction of propositions; establishment of causal relationships and evidence for practice.
Results:
three essential attributes were identified, 23 clinical antecedents related to the risk for shock, eight theoretical propositions were formulated, and causal relationships were established between the identified stimuli and the essential attributes.
Conclusions:
the theory developed established relationships between theory and practice based on the establishment of propositions and causal relationships that allow nurses' diagnostic reasoning.

Objectives:
to identify factors associated with non-adherence to polychemotherapy treatment for leprosy.
Methods:
a cross-sectional study, carried out with cases of abandonment of leprosy treatment in the municipality of Palmas-TO. The cases were identified from the Notification System for Notifiable Diseases, and a questionnaire was subsequently applied.
Results:
dropout rates for 2017 and 2018 were 8.3% and 3.12%, respectively. Forty people participated in the study: the majority were women (57.5%), with an average age of 48.2 years, 75% were black/brown, 50% had completed/incomplete elementary education, and 52.5% were retired/unemployed. Factors associated with adherence to leprosy treatment were lack of improvement in symptoms and having the diagnosis ruled out by another physician/not believing they had leprosy.
Conclusions:
the results point to the difficulty in accepting leprosy by cases and the importance of healthcare professionals in health education and adequate leprosy diagnosis.

Objectives:
to perform cross-cultural adaptation and content validity of the Mental Health Literacy questionnaire into Brazilian Portuguese.
Methods:
a validity study developed according to the following stages: (1) assessment of conceptual and item equivalence; (2) idiomatic and semantic equivalence (translation, back-translation, formal assessment, critical analysis by 17 experts and pre-testing with 32 young adults, using the survey technique); (3) operational equivalence.
Results:
important changes were made to ensure instrument validity. The Content Validity Index for the Brazilian context was 97.2% (feasibility) and 98.9% (relevance). The instrument proved to be understandable and easy to apply in pre-testing.
Final Considerations:
the Mental Health Literacy questionnaire, Brazilian version, contributes to assessing mental health literacy as well as to improving the quality of actions to promote, prevent and protect mental health in young people.

Objective:
to identify the prevalence of depression and its association with anxiety levels among military police officers.
Methods:
a cross-sectional study, conducted with active military police officers, using the Beck Depression Inventory and the Beck Anxiety Inventory, both validated for the Brazilian context. Multivariate logistic regression analyses verified associations.
Results:
the sample consisted of 672 military police officers, with a prevalence of depression of 34.5%. Police officers with depression presented significantly higher levels of anxiety. Anxiety was a significant predictor of depression, with each one-point increase in anxiety score being associated with a 1.20-fold increase in the odds of depression (adjusted Odds Ratio = 1.20; 95% Confidence Interval 1.16-1.24; p < 0.001).
Conclusions:
the high prevalence of depression and its association with anxiety highlight the need to implement prevention and mental health promotion actions among military police officers.

Objectives:
to analyse how 22 universities in Spain have implemented the HPU framework in different contexts.
Methods:
firstly, a document analysis was used as a research method to assess the action areas of work to promote HPU framework. Documents were selected from the university’s networks and numerically coded.
Results:
a Multiple Correspondence Analysis and a Hierarchical Cluster Analysis identified three types of universities based on the implementation of health promotion areas: “Incipient HPU” that is a heterogeneous group that tend to apply some of the HPU principles by addressing acute actions in time; “Premature HPU” englobe those universities that express the need to incorporate a HPU roadmap but does not express it in practice, and “Mature HPU” that are recognized by university authorities.
Final Considerations:
these results show how universities recognize and implement the HPU framework differently even when they are part of the same network.
