Objectives:
to identify how the nursing team perceives tacesic nonverbal communication during transfusion and describe how this perception influences hemotherapy care.
Methods:
a descriptive and exploratory study with a qualitative approach, anchored in Hall’s proxemic communication theory. Participant observation and interviews were carried out with 25 nursing professionals in a public hospital in Rio de Janeiro. The data collected between April and December 2022 were analyzed using thematic content.
Results:
three categories emerged: Meanings of touch for the hemotherapy nursing team during the transfusion act; Nonverbal tacesic body signals and expressions emitted during nursing care in the transfusion act; and The different types of touch in hospital transfusion nursing practice.
Final Considerations:
touch marks the sensitive quality of the nursing team’s care and has a positive effect on the client’s affective dimension during the transfusion act.

Objectives:
to estimate the combined prevalence of maternal satisfaction with breastfeeding and associated factors.
Methods:
a systematic prevalence review, according to the PRISMA and JBI protocols. Searches were conducted in PubMed/MEDLINE, LILACS, Scopus, Embase, Web of Science, and CINAHL, using the “Breastfeeding” and “Personal Satisfaction” descriptors. Data were extracted, tabulated, and presented in a meta-synthesis, applying meta-analysis to quantitative data.
Results:
twelve studies published between 2003 and 2024 were included. The results indicated moderate maternal satisfaction with breastfeeding. Higher scores were observed in conditions favorable to breastfeeding and when breastfeeding was longer, and lower scores were observed in cases of early weaning, unmet expectations and intentions regarding breastfeeding, as well as complications in the process. Professional support contributed to satisfaction.
Conclusions:
factors that influence satisfaction with breastfeeding were revealed. However, the subjectivity of the concept and the multiplicity of measurement instruments may have contributed to the studies’ high heterogeneity.

Objectives:
to understand the experiences of mothers who care for children with cancer regarding self-care.
Methods:
descriptive, qualitative research using the Creative Sensitive Method. Data collection took place at the outpatient clinic of a children’s cancer hospital in Belém, Pará, with 16 participants. These sessions were conducted through creativity and sensitivity dynamics in two sessions. These sessions were recorded, transcribed, and analyzed using French discourse analysis, based on Paulo Freire’s theoretical framework.
Results:
three main topics emerged: 1) “Impacts on caregiving mothers’ health”, with emotional, psychological, and physical impacts subtopics; 2) “Dedication to child care and its impact on family dynamics”, including the family relationships subtopic; 3) “Institutional support and public policies”.
Final Considerations:
caregiving mothers face significant impacts on their physical and emotional health, and family dynamics, requiring the implementation of care strategies that consider their experiences and improve their quality of life.

Objectives:
to understand how women who received breastfeeding counseling make breastfeeding-related decisions during their children's first year of life.
Methods:
a qualitative study conducted with women who received breastfeeding counseling in rooming-in units of three university hospitals, two located in the Southeast region and one in the Northeast region. Semi-structured interviews were conducted between May and September 2024, assessed using the Symbolic Interactionism and Thematic Analysis frameworks.
Results:
eleven women participated, highlighting the interactional context of breastfeeding counseling as a promoter of safety and trust, with technical and emotional contributions to overcoming breastfeeding challenges.
Final Considerations:
breastfeeding counseling proved to be a care technology with positive influences on maintaining exclusive breastfeeding in the first year of children's lives.

Objectives:
to share an experience in the Institutional Doctoral Degree Program Abroad and to stimulate the interest of doctoral students in Brazilian graduate programs to undertake this type of internship.
Methods:
a descriptive analysis of the academic exchange experience was conducted during the period from November 2023 to June 2024.
Results:
the academic exchange fostered significant collaboration between the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre and Georgia State University, resulting in the development of three potential collaborative publications. Additionally, the experience facilitated knowledge exchange and expanded intercultural communication competencies, strengthening academic ties and global research networks.
Final Considerations:
through collaborative exchanges, we pave the way for the continuous advancement of knowledge, technological innovation, and comprehensive socio-economic development. We hope more students will be motivated to engage in the global landscape of scientific research, thus expanding opportunities for growth and excellence for students and researchers.

Objectives:
to interpret young university students’ experiences regarding elder abuse and develop a theoretical model.
Methods:
a qualitative study, based on Strauss’ approach of Grounded Theory and Bauman’s theoretical framework, with theoretical saturation sampling, in which 34 university students from different areas were interviewed. Data processing used NVivo software. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee.
Results:
participants highlighted different types of elder abuse as well as their invisibility and trivialization in society. Older adults’ frailty and vulnerability were identified as risk factors, suggesting preventive strategies, including the inclusion of the topic in academic curricula, the promotion of healthy aging, and the strengthening of public policies.
Final Considerations:
the theoretical model developed highlights the urgent need for educational interventions based on a critical understanding of this problem, with an emphasis on human sensitivity and the morality of social interactions.

Objectives:
to describe the process of developing and validating a serial album on prenatal care aimed at pregnant women and health professionals.
Methods:
participatory action research that considered technological production guided by the following stages: identification of the need for change; theoretical and documentary survey; technological proposal; analysis by experts and validation by pregnant women. The analysis by experts considered the Content Validity Index.
Results:
the Content Validity Index obtained an overall score of 0.92, and the pregnant women performed the assessment with 100% agreement between items. The serial album on prenatal care proved to be effective in qualifying prenatal care, especially with regard to promoting autonomy, critical thinking, and strengthening the professional-user bond.
Conclusions:
the serial album developed was considered valid by pregnant women and health professionals and has the potential for replication in the context of primary health care, with a view to improving the quality of prenatal care.

Objectives:
to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Brazilian version of the Eating Attitudes Test among university students and to analyze potential differences between sexes.
Methods:
a methodological, quantitative study was conducted with 5,292 students. Data were collected through an online questionnaire comprising 26 Likert-scale items, including sociodemographic, academic, and health-related questions. The psychometric properties assessed included factorial validity, internal consistency, psychometric sensitivity, and structural equivalence between groups.
Results:
confirmatory factor analysis supported the multidimensional structure of the instrument, with satisfactory fit indices. The chi-square statistic was 14,447.944 with 296 degrees of freedom (p < 0.001), chi-square/df ratio of 48.81, comparative fit index of 0.843, Tucker-Lewis index of 0.828, root mean square error of approximation of 0.095, and standardized root mean square residual of 0.125. Structural equivalence was observed between sexes.
Conclusions:
the instrument demonstrated robust factorial validity for use among Brazilian university students.
