        <p>O presente estudo tem o prop&#243;sito de analisar alguns aspectos dos cursos de p&#243;s-gradua&#231;&#227;o lato sensu, do Departamento de Enfermagem da UFRN, al&#233;m de conhecer as perspectivas de discentes e docentes dos referidos cursos. Para o desenvolvimento do processo metodol&#243;gico, foram aplicados 67 question&#225;rios, distribu&#237;dos entre 14 professores e 53 alunos egressosdoscursos. Utilizou-se ainda, como fontede pesquisa, levantamento da produ&#231;&#227;o acad&#234;mica dos docentes, relat&#243;rios de cursos de especializa&#231;&#227;o, avalia&#231;&#245;es parciais das disciplinas dos cursos, nos anos de 1989 a 1991 e relat&#243;rio do I Semin&#225;rio de Avalia&#231;&#227;o dos Cursos de P&#243;s-gradua&#231;&#227;o do Departamento de Enfermagem (1992). Os resultados foram positivos, contudo apontam alguns aspectos a serem analisados, para a melhoria do ensino de p&#243;s-gradua&#231;&#227;o, tais como: revis&#227;o de grade cumcular, amplia&#231;&#227;o do espa&#231;o f&#237;sico e aumento do acervo bibliogr&#225;fico.</p>

        <p>The purpose ofthe study was to evaluate the "lato sensu" graduate programs of study of the Department of Nursing in the UFRN, and to know the pespectives of its students and faculty. A total of 67 questionnaires were applied to 14 professors and 53 ex-students. The sources of data were: a survey of the scientific knowledge produced by the faculty; specialization program final reports; partial 1989-1991 program evaluations; and, the final report of the first Graduate Program Evaluation Seminar (1992). Even though the results of the evaluation were positive, some aspects of the program were found to need further analysis so that future graduate studies might be improved. These aspects were: revision of the curriculum content, improvement of the space environment, and improvement of the bibliographic resources.</p>
