Objectives
to develop and validate an instrument to monitor obstetric care provided in maternity hospitals.
Methods
this methodological study was conducted in two stages: (1) development of the instrument based on a narrative review and (2) content validation through evaluation of the instrument by nine experts.
Results
three documents were developed: the first, a checklist with 61 monitoring items; the second, a document specifying the operational definition of each item; and the third, guidance for calculating the indicator generated by each item. The content validity index was greater than 0.78 after two rounds of data collection.
Conclusions
the monitoring instrument provided evidence of content validity from experts across all assessed domains and can therefore be considered reliable for monitoring obstetric care.

Objectives:
to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Brazilian version of the Eating Attitudes Test among university students and to analyze potential differences between sexes.
Methods:
a methodological, quantitative study was conducted with 5,292 students. Data were collected through an online questionnaire comprising 26 Likert-scale items, including sociodemographic, academic, and health-related questions. The psychometric properties assessed included factorial validity, internal consistency, psychometric sensitivity, and structural equivalence between groups.
Results:
confirmatory factor analysis supported the multidimensional structure of the instrument, with satisfactory fit indices. The chi-square statistic was 14,447.944 with 296 degrees of freedom (p < 0.001), chi-square/df ratio of 48.81, comparative fit index of 0.843, Tucker-Lewis index of 0.828, root mean square error of approximation of 0.095, and standardized root mean square residual of 0.125. Structural equivalence was observed between sexes.
Conclusions:
the instrument demonstrated robust factorial validity for use among Brazilian university students.

Objectives:
to map and validate standardized nursing terminology linkages applied to adult clinical-surgical hospital emergency care.
Methods:
this methodological study was conducted in an adult clinical-surgical hospital emergency care unit in Goiânia, Goiás, from July 2022 to January 2023. The study was divided into three stages: collection of signs and symptoms from patient records; cross-mapping by researchers and nurses working in emergency care; and content validity by experts.
Results:
twenty-nine terminology linkages were validated, including 16 problem-focused nursing diagnoses, 12 risk diagnoses, and one syndrome diagnosis, as well as 26 nursing outcomes, 96 interventions, and 281 activities. The average agreement was 0.87 across the six Functional Health Standards.
Conclusions:
the validated linkages promote the standardization of nursing diagnoses, outcomes, and interventions, increasing the accuracy and efficiency of the nursing process in emergency rooms.

Objectives:
to develop and validate the content and construct of an instrument for assessing vaccine hesitancy against COVID-19.
Methods:
methodological study, developed in three stages: i) construction of the instrument; ii) content validation by judges; and iii) validation of the construct by the target audience. The Health Beliefs Model was used to develop the instrument.
Results:
the instrument was constructed with 45 items. Seven items were excluded because they had a content validity coefficient of less than 0.8. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were carried out to validate the construct. The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin was 0.801 and Bartlett’s test of sphericity showed p<0.001. Six items did not achieve sufficient factor loading to remain in the instrument. The confirmatory factor analysis revealed a valid and reliable instrument.
Conclusions:
the developed instrument shows evidence of validity and is therefore recommended for research aiming to assess the reasons for COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy.

Objectives:
to develop and assess an educational video to promote self-efficacy among newborn caregivers.
Methods:
a video development study conducted in five stages: content delimitation (narrative review and situational diagnosis); script content construction and validity (experts); video development; produced video validity (experts); and face validity (target audience). The Content Validity Index was used to analyze the data.
Results:
the video “Cuidando do seu bebê” is 24 minutes long and covers the main home care practices for newborns. The assessment was carried out from the perspective of appearance and content, presenting a Content Validity Index higher than 0.80 in all validity stages. The target audience unanimously considered the video relevant and clear.
Conclusions:
the video is valid for use by healthcare professionals as a tool to promote the self-efficacy of newborn caregivers.

Objectives:
to develop and validate the content of the Nursing Consultation Protocol for Supported Selfcare in People with Parkinson’s Disease.
Methods:
this methodological study was conducted in two stages: protocol development and content validation. Relevance and clarity were assessed using the Delphi technique. After evaluating the protocol instruments, the Content Validity Index was calculated.
Results:
an integrative review and a documental study characterizing older people with Parkinson’s disease guided the protocol development. The final version comprises 6 sections, 29 topics, and 14 subtopics. The Content Validity Index was high in the first round (0.94) and increased to 0.99 after refinements.
Conclusions:
the expert panel deemed the protocol content valid in terms of relevance and clarity. Further research is recommended to assess its clinical validity.

Objectives:
to cross-culturally adapt and validate the content of Family Satisfaction with Care in the Intensive Care Unit 24R for use in Brazil.
Methods:
methodological research. Translation, translation consensus, equivalence assessment, back-translation, back-translation consensus, and pre-test were performed. Seven experts assessed translation equivalence and content validity. Applicability, item comprehension, and internal consistency were verified in a pre-test with 30 family members. Data were analyzed using the Content Validity Index, semantic assessment, correlation (r) between items, and Cronbach’s alpha.
Results:
linguistic adjustments were made to make the items understandable. The Content Validity Index was 0.86, Cronbach’s alpha was 0.93, and all items presented a correlation ≥0.30. Semantic assessment obtained more than 85% approval.
Conclusions:
the adapted questionnaire had its content validated, proving to be reliable for assessing psychometric properties. It showed potential to contribute to assessing family satisfaction in intensive care in Brazil, in order to identify aspects that need to be improved as well as those that should be maintained and strengthened.

Objectives:
to develop and validate a booklet with care guidelines for patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
Methods:
methodological research developed in four stages: situational assessment -interviews with 24 patients undergoing cardiac surgery in the last half of 2019; theoretical procedure - literature analysis; experimental procedure - booklet development; and analytical procedure - content and appearance validity using the Delphi technique. Descriptive statistics, Content Validity Index measurement, and Cronbach’s alpha Wilcoxon test were used for analysis.
Results:
the booklet provides guidance for all phases of surgery and home care. The Content Validity Index was 94.6%. Modifications were made to the images and text were adapted, based on judges’ suggestions.
Conclusions:
the booklet provides guidance for people undergoing cardiac surgery and their caregivers. Its content and appearance demonstrate evidence of validity for use by this target audience.
