Se utilizó la técnica de entrevista semi estructurada grabada con 70 participantes de los 13 grupos investigados, analizadas según el abordaje cualitativo de contenido. La categoría envolvimiento comunitario reveló la movilización profesional y comunitaria por la gestión participativa en salud. El interés en participar de los grupos locales organizados indica las proporciones individuales que se potencializan en colectivo se perciben en el atendimiento de las necesidades humanas básicas sicológicas y socio ambientales.

participación de 330 hipertensos. La muestra considero la prevalencia del agravo en
50%. Los datos fueron recogidos de las historias clínicas y las variables fueron el
riesgo coronario, presión arterial, el número de visitas, actividades educativas y
los medicamentos recetados. Fue utilizada ANOVA para comparar las variables y el
teste t para la comparación de la presión durante el período de estudio, con un nivel
de significación del 5%. Respectivamente, 115 (34,8%) sujetos tenían bajo riesgo de
infarto de miocardio o muerte por enfermedad coronaria en los próximos 10 años; 67
(20,4%) tenían un riesgo promedio; y 148 (44,8%) tenían alto riesgo. Sólo la cantidad
de medicamentos prescritos mostraron asociación significativa con el riesgo coronario

Views5See moreThis was a qualitative study with the purpose of designing a meta-model for the work process of the Family Health Strategy (FHS) team. It was based on the experience of six sample groups, composed of their members (physicians, professional nurses, dentists, dental assistants, licensed technical nurses and community health agents) in a city in São Paulo state, Brazil, totaling 54 subjects. Six theoretical models emerged from non-directive interviews. These were analyzed according to Grounded Theory and submitted to the meta-synthesis strategy, which produced the meta-model "between the processes of strengthening and weakening of the FHS model: professional-team-community reciprocity as an intervening component". When analyzed in light of the Theory of Complexity (TC), it showed to be a work with a vertical and authoritarian tendency, which is largely hegemonic in the tradition of public health care policies.

Views16See moreThis study aimed to determine the pattern of family functioning on everyday care relationships of adults in the fourth age. This is a study of diagnostic-evaluative nature of adults with 80 or more years old who depend on care, and of their relatives as caregivers. The participants were selected among the registered patients of a Family Health Unit in a district in the suburbs of Belém-PA, Brazil. They were evaluated according to the dynamics of their family, and quality of life related health lifestyle. Most of the elderly rated their families with good functionality. However, data on the elderly and caregivers' quality of life and caregivers' life style only reached the median level, showing some difficulty in the family functioning system. It was concluded that the multiple results obtained through the assessments indicate some practical implications of care to the family unity and confirm the need for multidimensional assessment about the family intervention.

Views2See moreHoy día se observan problemas relacionados a la comunicación en foros de participación social de salud. Este estudio cualitativo objetiva analizar la comunicación entre los usuarios y el personal de salud, en los consejos de Salud de la Familia. El referencial teórico de la Teoría de la Acción Comunicativa de Habermas fue utilizado. Los datos recolectados revelan dos dimensiones que se entrelazan: distanciamiento y acercamiento entre usuarios y trabajadores de salud. Acerca del distanciamiento, se destacan las relaciones asimétricas, de coerción y manipulación realizadas por los trabajadores de salud, procesos que perjudican la participación de los usuarios. Por otro lado, hay momentos de interacción y lucha por los derechos, contenidos en las aproximaciones entre usuarios y trabajadores de salud. Por último, se considera que la comunicación en los consejos de Salud de la Familia tiene potenciales y límites, que deben ser debatidos, especialmente por medio de la educación permanente en salud.

Views9See moreThe aim of this study was to assess the knowledge of elderly people on preventive actions to sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in the context of the Family Health Strategy (FHS). This is a cross-sectional study, involving 94 elderly, aged ≥ 60 years, attached to the ESF in Serra Gaucha (a region at Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil). The results indicate parity in the sample for sexual activity and prevalence of sexual activity with the same partner. Older people have knowledge of how to prevent STDs, mostly by the use of condoms. Most interviewees reported they received no information from FHS team. Those who received orientation related that the focus was on the usage of condoms. It is necessary to intensify the actions and discussions of sexuality and STDs, aimed at healthy aging.

The data were obtained through semi-structured interviews; the speeches were categorized according to Bardin and analyzed in the light of the Symbolic Interactionism. The nurses consider this policy important and their prospects of implementation are supportive to the initiative of coping with difficulties for the inclusion of this group and related to the work process. It brings contributions on the current health situation of men and the assistance and consolidation of nursing care.
